The Path
“{Fairy tale} does not deny the existence of sorrow and failure: the possibility of these is necessary to the joy of deliverance. It denies (in the face of much evidence, if you will) universal final defeat…giving a fleeting glimpse of Joy; Joy beyond the walls of the world, poignant as grief.”
—J. R. R. Tolkien
. . . . .
The Path
The category called The Path is a subsection of Oddfellow.
Sometimes we learn something for the first time. Other times, we learn something we already knew, but had forgotten. Lastly, there are the occasions where we learn the same lesson in some new way.
Entries that appear in The Path are my attempt at revisiting some of the timeless lessons we all must learn—at some point—in our ever evolving life experience. With the exception of introductory commentary, entries filed under The Path are fictional stories. They draw no inspiration from myself or people I know; but are brief segments from the developing and always reshaping mythology in my mind.
Yours,
—Jeffrey Puukka
